SW304 Youth and Health

Hi Students and Welcome to Youth and Health!

The unit leads the students to a deeper understanding of youth work, health-related challenges faced by them, and their participation in programs to address those issues.  It equips the students with the skills to enable them to identify youth-related health issues, such as nutrition, drug abuse, sexuality, and reproductive health, to conceptualize health programs and their roles and responsibilities in the implementation of those programs. The students will explore and discuss the current health issues faced by young people in other countries and in PNG and how these are being addressed in their respective contexts. They can distinguish the variances of principles of youth and social development work and apply them in the programs.  They will analyze the profile and work of the different nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) and government bodies that are working in this sector.

God bless and all the best in your studies.

With kind regards,

Miss. KANDU, (Senior Tutor)
