EH419 Project Management
As
you progress through your final year of study in Environmental Health,
preparing to enter the workforce in Papua New Guinea, it is important to
recognize that much of the work in this field is project-oriented.
Environmental Health Officers (EHOs) in both the public and private
sectors are often responsible for managing projects of varying scales,
from small community-based initiatives to large-scale rural water supply
and sanitation projects.
This
unit is designed to equip you with the fundamental principles and
practices of effective project management in the environmental health
sector. Throughout this course, you will develop essential skills in
consultation, collaboration, networking, problem-solving, planning,
implementation, and evaluation - all of which are critical for
successfully managing environmental health projects.
A
key focus will be on understanding the different levels at which
environmental health projects operate and the importance of seeing a
project through to completion. By the end of this unit, you will have
the knowledge and practical experience necessary to apply project
management principles in real-world settings, preparing you for a
successful career in environmental health.
