Dear Staff & Students,
PNG DataCo Limited (DataCo) has completed the assessment on damage inflicted on the submarine cables. It is confirmed now that there are multiple breakages outside of Madang:

1. PPC1 International Link - Damage is about 27km from Madang and is affecting services to Sydney and Guam.
2. KSCN System 1 - Damage is 15km from Madang and is affecting services into all NGI and MOMASE.
3. KSCN System 2 - Damage is 17km from Madang and is affecting services into Madang, Lae, and all of Highlands as well as Express Link to Port Moresby.

Services to Customers in MOMASE, Highlands and NGI Regions connected through Madang remains affected by these cable breaks.
DataCo engineers are now working with their Submarine cable repair partners to assess cable stock and approving of the restoration plans.

The restoration will take a minimum of two(2) months from the date of this notice.
