Career Talk #2 with FMHS MBBS alumnus Dr Conscilliah Menda
Dr. Conscilliah Menda, MBBS alumnus with multiple degrees, shares her academic journey and offers advice on career development. She highlights the importance of pursuing one's passions, taking initiative, and building networks. Dr. Menda emphasizes the significance of discipline, self-respect, confidence, perseverance, rest, and health in achieving success. She also discusses the role of curiosity and questioning in research, as well as the importance of analytical abilities, collaboration, and communication skills. Ultimately, she encourages individuals to believe in their abilities and to continually develop themselves throughout their careers.

Career Talk #3 with FASS CA alumnus Mr Kim Allen
Kim Allen, an alumnus of Divine Word University and recipient of the 2023 DWU Alumni Award, shares his career journey and offers advice to students. He emphasizes the importance of self-improvement, balancing academic work with social activities and church commitments, and gaining practical experience through internships and volunteering. Kim discusses the significance of values, ethics, respect for diversity, and integrity, as well as the role of spirituality and prayer in providing guidance. He highlights the need for community engagement, building networks, and making a positive impact in one's community. Kim encourages students to stay informed about global trends and explore opportunities beyond traditional career paths. He concludes his talk with a video of one of his community initiatives in his island home of Tubetube in Milne Bay with The Voice Inc.
